June 27 backup date secured in case the event needs to be postponed for a few weeks.

IMPORTANT EVENT UPDATE - Cool Sommer Mornings Series Event #1

At this time the SS Event team is diligently preparing for the 35th Annual Cool Sommer Mornings Series kickoff event on June 6, 2020.

We, like all of you, are very hopeful that we will soon be able to proceed with our scheduled and rescheduled events as planned. However, we recognize that the situation is fluid and we will continue to monitor the situation and take guidance from the CDC, and city, county and state health officials.

With the uncertainty as to what guidelines will be in place once Florida's stay at home directive expires in early May, Sommer Sports has secured with the City of Clermont a June 27, 2020, back-up date for CSM Series Event #1 should it need to be postponed. Please note that at this time we have no plans to postpone the June 6 race to June 27. The COVID-19 situation is constantly evolving and we wanted to have a back-up plan in place in case we needed a few extra weeks for conditions to stabilize.

We are monitoring the coronavirus guidelines constantly and should guidance or conditions change relative to our upcoming events, we will communicate updates to our athletes as soon as possible via email, website, social media, and text messaging to those that opted in.
